Bring the Roses-Czech style Pilsner 4.6%
Starting with a grist of Czech-grown floor-malted pilsner malt, we mash hot and thick, which makes for a slightly sweeter finished beer. That sweetness is essential in this beer to balance the bitterness from a large dose of Czech-grown Saaz hops in the early boil. The boil is finished with more Saaz in the whirlpool, giving this beer its distinct floral and spicy aroma.
Fermentation is long and cold, which we find produces the cleanest final beer and lets the beauty of this minimalist recipe shine. There is an old Czech proverb that goes: “Patience Brings Roses” (Trpělivost růže přináší).
